Here's one of the most intelligent species in the world. Fully natural breed from Siberia, known from winter and extreme weather condition. With regard to peculiarity of this place, man didn't take part in creation of this breed - it arose in accordance with the nature, with no human ingerence. Only just several years ago the breeding program started while the breed was registered in FIFe in 1998. That's why the Siberians still have traits of their ancestors - they are resistant to diseases, intelligent, easy adopt to new conditions. They also inherited the the passion for climbing. The highest place in our flat is their favourite observation post.

The Siberian is a semilonghaired cat, muscular and strong, in medium size. Males are bigger than females. Females weight 4-5 kg while males 7-8kg. They become matured at the age of 3-4 years old. The Siberians cannot be crossed with other breeds. Comparing Siberians to similar breed it becomes obvious that the Maine Coons are more "sharper" while the Norwegians are longer and lighter. The Siberian temper is a real combination of subtlety, charm, intelligence and fascinating wildness.

They are very impulsive and active but also friendly and emotional. It is hard to get their trust - it requires some effort and commitment from the owner. But when someone succeed it is certain that one gets big and devoted friend. These cats are not agressive, vicious or destrictive. They try to be fragile and cautious. In hard situation they avoid confrontation. Intelligent and communicative, sociable and nosy, always walking step by step after the owner.

They become real family member. They are always where something interesting is happening, doing everything to catche someone's attention. The Siberians are usually talkative - you can take a little chat with them. They have very nice and quiet voice. They learn very fast how to use a litter box. They act like a dog. Always greet when someone gets back home but they don't do it in importunate way.

They are willing to make friendship with other cats but also do great with other animals. The most charactersitic thing in these cats is the fact that there's someting wild and primary in their personality. They like to climb and jump - always rest on high places. The Siberians are active, willing to play and chase around all house.
